very interesting session today....

as you guys can probably see from these hands....not a good way to start off the session. i started off "alright" went up like 1-2 buy ins, and all of these hands above happened in about 10 minutes. it was absolutely SOOOO fucking frustrating. all in preflop K3o?!!?! are you serious?! at that point after these hands i was down about 5 buy ins....-2k.....

at this point, i was obviously very frustrated. i was contemplating whether to stop for today, or to keep playing. i was like, i could stop right now, but i think i'm playing pretty good solid poker right now. i decided that since i was playing pretty good, that i'd continue..so i did. more frustrating spots (smallish) came up, everything just wasn't going my way. but i just kept telling myself, "you're playing well right now, keep playing good solid poker and at some point it will have to turn around, maybe not tonight but just keep pluggin away because you are playing well." there were these guys that'd just push all in on me all the time, guys potting everything, guys calling all my bets etc. it was obviously ridiculous and frustrating but i just kept telling myself to keep playing good solid poker and just be patient.....well in like 3 hands, i won back almost all of my losses.....

- standard repop with JJ, but when that guy who cold called went all-in, initially i was like wtf and wanted to throw my hand away. but i thought about it for a little and was thinking, does he really play AA/KK/QQ this way....not likely. from my experience climbing up stakes, these kind of plays usually is a lower pocket pair puttin me on AK. a lot of the time this is used to isolate but there is no one to isolate in this hand. villain's stats is 28/15 so it makes no sense as to why he would not reraise with the premium hands. at the end, i put him on either AK or pp like 8's or 7's putting me on AK. good thing my hand held ship it.

ended up the day +$250.....moral of the post is: stay patient even if everything is not going your way. keep you calm, stay cool, and keep pluggin away, the more you play, the sooner you will hit your big hands and get paid off, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, and maybe not this whole week, but keep pluggin, it will come. however, if you at any point not playing well, stop immediately!

i'm very very happy with my results today as it was just bad spots all over the place. to end the session up is marvelous. i handled myself EXTREMELY well today despite being so frustrated and I have to say this is probably THE best session i've played in my life so far. i'd give myself an A for today's play...final word, just stay calm and keep patience. it might sound cheesy but i have to say this, i came up with this phrase myself btw...
